In response to concerns being raised on social media, I am writing to provide an update regarding Tuesday’s school closing. This unscheduled school closing is not the result of widespread illness or absences but is instead a limited issue involving the absences of certain essential staff members. The District continues to work to avoid such issues in the future. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.
Tuesday, December 12 - Due to an unanticipated staffing shortage, we will not be able to support students in the building today. We are unable to share more details related to this shortage because they are considered personnel matters. We will use today as our fourth and final Superintendent's Conference Day.
CTE STUDENTS
CTE students will attend CTE according to their schedule. Students may request transportation to school for CTE.
ATHLETIC CONTESTS
Students can request transportation to after school athletics by calling the high school office by 9:30 a.m. Students will be transported in the afternoon between 2:15 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. for an arrival which will allow for 3:15 p.m, practices and transportation.
The Fruit Sale pick up will run as scheduled.
Due to an unanticipated staffing shortage, there will be no school on the Salem CSD campus today, Tuesday, December 12, 2023. Out of district programs will run on schedule. CTE students should report no later than 10:45am for transportation to their PM BOCES program. All athletic practices, games and matches will run on schedule. Students who need transportation to school for CTE or after school practice/games/matches should call or email the High School Office no later than 9:30AM to arrange for pick-up. Any school related meetings will run as scheduled. If you have any questions, please call either the Elementary or Jr/Sr High School office.
