Dear Salem Elementary Families,
Time truly flies when we’re learning and growing together! Faculty and staff at SES continue to collaborate to ensure students develop the skills necessary to succeed by making learning relevant and engaging. Life in our 21st-century society requires learning in many areas—cognitive, social, emotional, and physical—in other words, education for the whole child. Students can be seen reading, writing, and working collaboratively to solve problems in their classrooms around the building. They continue to grow and progress as they engage with the content across the curriculum. #EveryStudentFutureReady
HMH Into Reading and HMH Into Math: This year marks our third year with the HMH Into Reading program and our second year implementing HMH Into Math. Both programs have enriched our curriculum, enhancing literacy and numeracy skills across all grade levels.
State Assessments Prep for Grades 3-6: As state assessments approach, we're enhancing our focus on keyboarding skills alongside the foundational abilities crucial for our students' success during testing. We encourage families to support their children at home by practicing these skills and discussing the importance of these assessments.
Grade 6 Musical: 101 Dalmatians Kids: We are excited to announce that our talented Grade 6 students, along with their dedicated advisors, will proudly present the musical "101 Dalmatians Kids" on March 7 and 8 at 7:00 PM. This is a wonderful opportunity for our students to showcase their hard work and creativity! Tickets will be sold at the door, so come out and support our young performers!
The journey ahead is filled with opportunities for growth, learning, and achievement. With our dedicated staff, supportive families, and amazing students, there's no limit to what we can accomplish. Let's continue to work together, embrace challenges, and celebrate successes as we make this school year truly remarkable.
Thank you once again for your continued support and partnership!
Sincerely,
Damian Switzer
