We are excited to announce that Salem Central School District is adopting a new form of school-to-home communication this month called ParentSquare. This unified communications platform is designed to be a “one-stop shop” to help keep you informed and strengthen your connection with the district.
Here’s just some of what you can do with ParentSquare:
Receive district, school, classroom and athletics information via email, text and/or mobile app
Direct message teachers and staff
Share pictures and files
See calendar items
Schedule parent-teacher conferences
Sign permission slips
You should be receiving an initial email and/or text message from ParentSquare this week, which will ask you to accept an invitation to activate your account and log in for the first time. You may choose to use a computer or the app on your smartphone.
Starting on Monday, January 6th, all district, school, grade level and classroom information will be sent to you through ParentSquare. Our current systems, including SchoolMessenger, Apptegy, and Thrillshare Rooms, will be phased out on that date.
Over the next few weeks, we will be sharing more information, including additional resources to help you get acquainted with the new platform. If you have any questions or concerns, please email helpdesk@salemcsd.org or call the Main Office at (518) 854-6000 for assistance.
We look forward to bringing you increased communications through ParentSquare. I expect it will help make engaging with our school community a much easier and more convenient experience.
